The Spark

If you have stumbled upon our page by chance or maybe out of curiosity, I want to extend a welcoming hand and invite you into our world for a moment.

You see…..Mike and I (Allan) have always been the polar opposite. When we met he was a soldier, and I was a traveling makeup artist. As you may imagine, people from opposite worlds very rarely get along, but for some reason, our polarity was magnetizing.

We have lived many different lives since we met, and I can say with outmost certainty, that ever since, our lives have been an adventure.

Cedar & Cinder began with our shared love for hiking, nature, art, culture, and all things beautiful. Mike has always been a nature lover, and has spent most of his life in forests, mountains, rivers, and oceans. While I have spent a lot of my life in fashion, art, society, and cities. When our worlds clashed, something beautiful formed.

We decided to create this brand in hopes of sharing some of this beauty, and also to showcase our appreciation for the Pacific Northwest.

Everything we craft is done with the intention to invoke a feeling. Each candle we make represents a moment, a vibe, or an experience we have lived together. It could be a hike through the trees, a rainy evening at home, the smell of smoke in the air, the nostalgia of a place you cannot quite name, or the beauty of something fleeting that stays with you. Our scents are designed to relax, to make people feel, and to bring back memories they may not have known they were holding onto.

Although our inspiration is the Pacific Northwest, Cedar & Cinder is not only for those who live in this place. It is for anyone who has ever felt called to nature, beauty, atmosphere, and story. Whether you are drawn to moody forests, dark academia, soft nostalgia, vibrant futurism, or the energetic flow of pop culture, we believe a candle can become more than fragrance. It can become a portal to a memory, a mood, a place, or a version of yourself you may have forgotten.

Rooted in the PNW and inspired by the worlds we love, Cedar & Cinder is our homage to nature, art, culture, and the quiet magic of everyday rituals.
